This page summarizes where Fundwork is today, what is scoped for the public launch architecture, and what is being evaluated for later. It is a status document, not a commitment on dates.
Fundwork is currently in alpha. Dates are not assigned to any item on this roadmap. Items may move between categories as design and testing progress.

Alpha (current focus)

The alpha is focused on getting the core marketplace loop right.
  • Privy authentication and session management.
  • Base Account integration for user payment identity.
  • Profiles for talent, clients, and organizations.
  • Opportunities: contracts, bounties, and campaigns.
  • Applications and proposals.
  • Submissions and revision flows.
  • Persistent backend data across all marketplace records.
  • Core marketplace workflows end to end.

Pre-launch (planned)

The following items are planned before Fundwork exits alpha and opens to a broader public.
  • USDC settlement testing across the full payment lifecycle.
  • Gas sponsorship through a paymaster with allowlist policy. See Gasless Transactions.
  • Backend transaction verification hardening. See Payment Architecture.
  • Full smart contract test suite. See Smart Contract Testing.
  • Escrow contract design and specification. See Escrow Design.
  • Published dispute policy for escrowed opportunities. See Dispute Resolution.
  • Monitoring across payment infrastructure, paymaster usage, and privileged actions. See Security.
  • Independent smart contract security review before meaningful funds are handled onchain.
Fundwork will not describe payment contracts as “audited” until an independent security review is complete. The pre-launch list above is the intended scope of that work.

Later (potential)

These items are under evaluation for later versions and are not committed for the launch scope.
  • Production escrow deployed to Base mainnet, integrated with dispute paths.
  • Sponsored transactions at scale, with broader coverage as costs and abuse patterns are understood.
  • Agent-compatible opportunities with declared verification methods. See Agentic Transactions.
  • Agent wallets participating in marketplace flows.
  • Automated work verification for objectively verifiable opportunity categories.
  • Organization treasury workflows for team-managed funding.
  • Protocol and API integrations for external systems that want to source or fund work through Fundwork.

  • Items in Pre-launch are work in progress. They are the intended scope for public launch but should not be assumed live until the corresponding page describes them as available.
  • Items in Later are exploratory. They may change substantially or be dropped based on what is learned in alpha and pre-launch.
