Organization roles let you control exactly what each team member can do within your Fundwork organization. Rather than giving everyone equal access, roles allow you to delegate specific responsibilities — like posting opportunities or approving payments — to the right people on your team.

Why Roles Matter

As your organization grows, different team members take on different responsibilities. A role system ensures that the right people have the right level of access, protecting your organization from accidental changes and keeping your workflow structured.

Post Opportunities

Control who on your team can create and publish contracts, bounties, and campaigns on behalf of the organization.

Review Applicants

Designate team members who can evaluate applications and submissions from talent responding to your opportunities.

Approve Payments

Restrict payment approvals to trusted team members, adding a layer of oversight to your organization’s on-chain transactions.

How Roles Are Assigned

When you add a team member to your organization, you assign them a role as part of the invitation flow. You can update a member’s role at any time from your organization’s Team Members settings.
Assign roles based on each team member’s actual responsibilities. Limiting elevated permissions to the people who genuinely need them keeps your organization’s profile and funds more secure.

Changing a Member’s Role

1

Open Organization Settings

Go to your organization profile and navigate to Team Members.
2

Select the Member

Find the team member whose role you want to update and open their member details.
3

Update the Role

Choose the appropriate role from the available options and confirm the change. The update takes effect immediately.
Specific role names, the full list of available roles, and the exact permissions each role grants are being finalized. More details will be published before public launch.
