Your Fundwork profile is the first thing a client sees before deciding to hire you or select your submission. A complete, well-crafted profile signals professionalism, helps Fundwork surface you in relevant searches, and gives clients the confidence to choose you over someone they know nothing about. Spend a few minutes getting it right — it pays off.
Fundwork is currently in alpha. Some profile fields described below may not be available yet. More details will be published before public launch.

Profile Setup Steps

1

Open your profile settings

After signing in, navigate to your profile page. Look for your .base.eth name or avatar in the top navigation, then select Profile or Edit Profile from the menu.
2

Review your display name

Your display name is set automatically to your .base.eth name — the same identity you used to sign in. This name appears on all your proposals, submissions, and public activity on Fundwork.
Your .base.eth name is your Fundwork identity and cannot be changed from within Fundwork. To use a different name, connect a wallet with the .base.eth name you prefer.
3

Write your bio

Your bio is your elevator pitch. In a few sentences, describe:
  • What kind of work you do
  • The experience or background you bring
  • What types of opportunities interest you
Keep it direct and specific. “Experienced Solidity developer with 3 years building DeFi protocols” tells a client far more than “I love crypto.”
4

Add your skills and tags

Select the skills and tags that match your expertise. These help Fundwork match you to relevant opportunities and allow clients to filter talent by capability.Common skill categories include: Design, Development, Video, Research, Marketing, Writing, and Product Testing — among others.
Be accurate rather than exhaustive. Clients trust profiles that reflect genuine expertise, so prioritize the skills where you can deliver strong results.
5

Add portfolio links

Link to work samples, a personal site, a GitHub profile, a Behance portfolio, or any other external resource that demonstrates what you can do. Concrete examples of past work carry significant weight with clients evaluating submissions.Add as many relevant links as apply — quality and relevance matter more than quantity.
6

Set your payout address

Fundwork pays talent in USDC on Base. Set your payout address to the Base wallet address where you want to receive payments.
Double-check your payout address before saving. Payments are sent on-chain to the address you provide — an incorrect address could result in funds being sent to the wrong destination.
Your payout address will typically be the same Base-compatible wallet you used to sign in, but you can specify a different address if you prefer to receive funds elsewhere.
7

Save your profile

Once you’ve filled in your details, save your profile. Your public profile page is now visible to clients browsing for talent.

Why a Complete Profile Matters

For contracts, the client reviews applicants and picks one person before work begins. A sparse profile with no bio or portfolio gives them nothing to act on. A complete profile makes the decision easy.
When you submit work for a bounty or campaign, your profile is attached. Clients seeing your submission for the first time will click through to learn more about you — make sure what they find is compelling.
You won’t be able to receive USDC payments without a valid payout address on file. Set it now before you win your first opportunity, not after.
