# What Is Fundwork? Base-Native Marketplace for Paid Work

Fundwork connects clients who need work done with talented contributors who want to get paid — all on Base. Every payment flows in USDC on Base (Ethereum L2), giving both sides fast, low-cost settlements without the friction of traditional payment rails. Whether you're posting your first bounty or searching for your next contract, Fundwork puts the full workflow on-chain from day one.

## Who Uses Fundwork

Fundwork is built for two sides of every engagement:

* **Clients** — teams, protocols, DAOs, and individuals who need work done and want to pay in USDC on Base.
* **Talent** — designers, developers, writers, marketers, researchers, and other contributors who want to earn USDC for their skills.

## The Three Opportunity Types

Not every piece of work fits the same structure. Fundwork offers three distinct opportunity types so clients can choose the format that matches how they want to hire and how talent wants to engage.
